Living in Laurel MD

Living in Laurel MD has been a true joy and provide us with a feeling of  home! My wife and I relocated to Laurel after raising our daughters in the nearby Adelphi, MD community. Since moving to Laurel,MD we  have truly enjoyed the Victoria Falls community where we live, but also its great location to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Columbia, MD, and Northern Virginia. Living in Laurel, MD is like living in a small town with city amenities. Especially, town that the new Laurel Town Center is under construction. I can see all types of commercial develop underway. Laurel is conveniently located within a short commute to Columbia and Annapolis Shopping malls, many restaurants, entertainment venues, parks, and bike trails.  As one would say in the real estate business, Laurel typifies a typical slogan….. location….location……location!

Living in Laurel, MD offers a variety of housing choices with neighborly communities consisting of detached or townhouse style home with varied price points to satisfy every home buyer lifestyle and budget. The town of Laurel spans across 3 counties which includes Anne Arundel, Howard and Prince Georges Counties. The Penn Station rail route has made commuting even better with two stops in the Laurel area.  Laurel is within close proximity to the National Harbor, downtown Silver Spring, Maryland Live Casino in Arundel Mills. The recently opening of the new Inter-County Connector (ICC) has shorten the commute to Gaithersburg and Germantown a much easier commute. It has cut the normal travel time down to a 20-30 minute commute.

Living in Laurel MD  feels like southern living with a big city- flavor with the city council pushing for more cultural activites for families. There are many future development projects in the works, e.g. Laurel Town Center and future plans for the Konterra mix-use business and office development.  Residents of Laurel are eagerly awaiting the development of the new Town Center which is expected to offer an outdoor retail shopping plaza complete with new restaurants and a movie theater.  The Town Center will certainly brighten up the landscape on Route 1 and the surrounding areas in Laurel. The residents are very excited about these new development and look forward to the grand opening of the Town Center in 2014!
